Over 55 years ago, UTC’s founder treated his employees as family. UTC continues this tradition, caring for each employee as individuals. Additionally, UTC provides great health care and benefits.
UTC’s Employee Stock Option Program (ESOP) is a direct benefit to employees. The profits earned by UTC for excellent work increase the value of the vested shares for each person.
UTC partners with a multitude of companies / individuals to provide our customers the best possible product. Our goal is a “win-win” relationship from the start, resulting in long-term, trusted teammates.
Robert Guyton, fresh out of the Air Force, looked to build on his military experience and formed a consulting practice which he incorporated as Universal Technology Corporation in 1961. The initial focus was consulting with military contractors and bringing this knowledge to the USAF customer. In 1962, Robert Gran, also recently separated from the Air Force, joined UTC and the Company started to shift its focus toward winning its first prime government contract by 1967. Mr. Guyton’s and Mr. Gran’s primary expertise was in the engineering aspect of the operation. Recognizing that the government contracting work would require stringent business and administrative aspects including contract management, Mr. Pat Adamson was brought on board to establish and lead the company's corporate functions and is now a member of our Board of Directors.
Our corporate leaders, directors and associate directors are among the most respected and experienced within each of their disciplines.

Years in Business
What influenced my decision more than anything was the amount of tenure that most of the employees have at UTC. 15, 20, 25, 30+ years at the same company is essentially almost unheard of these days. It speaks volumes in regards to UTC’s philosophy, culture and ethos as a company.
I chose to work at UTC because of the great reputation the company has with professors at my college, Wright State.
I’ve worked at UTC for almost 40 years, it truly is a family atmosphere.
The employees are what make or break a company, and we have lots of outstanding people throughout the company.
Having our top leaders invested in the community and finding ways to contribute in making this region prosperous are key contributors to my personal job satisfaction. This company was founded on strong moral principles and that continues to this day.
