OUR HISTORY

Robert Guyton, fresh out of the Air Force, looked to build on his military experience and formed a consulting practice which he incorporated as Universal Technology Corporation in 1961. The initial focus was consulting with military contractors and bringing this knowledge to the USAF customer. In 1962, Robert Gran, also recently separated from the Air Force, joined UTC and the Company started to shift its focus toward winning its first prime government contract by 1967. Mr. Guyton’s and Mr. Gran’s primary expertise was in the engineering aspect of the operation. Recognizing that the government contracting work would require stringent business and administrative aspects including contract management, Mr. Pat Adamson was brought on board to establish and lead the company's corporate functions and is now a member of our Board of Directors.

Twelve unique, non-profit charities are selected by our staff for fund contributions as our team gets “casual for a cause” throughout the year.

Paper Recycling

We recycle paper on a monthly basis and save 49 trees annually.

Recycling

We recycle aluminum cans in our break room and donate those funds to the Children's Hospital Burn Ward.

Disaster Relief

Special fundraisers are held to aid local areas affected by events such as tornado or hurricane devastion.

Techfest

TechFest is a free STEM weekend event for school age children that many of our UTC team volunteer to work.
